This course describes the prerequisites and knowledge required to successfully and safely install an electrical isolation joint within a pipeline system. It addresses the types of electrical isolation devices, how corrosion occurs, pipeline corrosion control techniques, safety equipment, installation and testing procedures, and the abnormal operating conditions (AOCs) that may occur when performing this task.
